In 2022, the artistic duo Léo & Steph took a new step in their career with a major exhibition in the Chinese city of Chongqing. This exceptional collaboration, orchestrated within the prestigious MixC shopping center , merged contemporary art and an immersive experience , offering visitors a unique visual adventure.
The highlight of the show was undoubtedly a monumental 10-metre-high sculpture erected outside the centre. With its bright colours and imposing presence, this work instantly captured attention, becoming a true urban landmark. For six months, it stood proudly in the public space, arousing the curiosity and admiration of passers-by.
But the exhibition did not stop there. Other sculptures, measuring two meters high , marked the artistic route, both inside and outside the center, creating a constant dialogue between the works and their urban environment . This sculptural route engaged visitors in an immersive exploration , where the monumental proportions of the creations invited to redefine the relationship between humans and their space .
Inside the MixC , the center was transformed into a contemporary gallery , where paintings and sculptures coexisted in a scenography that was both modern and playful. Léo & Steph breathed a unique energy into this exhibition, playing with contrasts, materials and shapes to offer a joyful reinterpretation of contemporary art .
This colossal project is an ode to the power of large-scale artistic creation , while remaining accessible and engaging for the general public . The Chongqing exhibition fully embodies the duo's artistic DNA: pushing the boundaries of art, both in form and space, in order to establish a strong emotional connection and direct with the spectators .
